Find God

In your own opinion, what do you believe it takes for a person to go to heaven?
The Bible makes it clear that we need forgiveness and tells us how we can get it.

At different times everyone does things that are wrong!

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, there is no one righteous (who always does right), not even one.”

All of us are found guilty of breaking God’s laws.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

The penalty for breaking God’s law is death; but forgiveness is available to all.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Because of God’s love Jesus was tried, sentenced to die and crucified for us.

Romans 5:8 “But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”

By faith we trust in Christ’s death and publicly confess that belief.

Romans 10:9 & 10 “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation.”

The result of believing and confessing is salvation, an assurance that we will go to heaven when we die.

Through prayer we express the attitudes of repentance, faith and surrender to Christ.

Romans 10:13 "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

If you would like to receive forgiveness, eternal life and Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, you can express that desire to God in prayer. The words that are used are not as important as an attitude of regret and remorse. It is the understanding that only through Jesus can your sin be forgiven.

Pray:

"Dear Jesus, I know that I have sinned, that I have done wrong and I am sorry. Would you forgive me. I believe you died on the cross for me. And to the best of my abilities in understanding that, I ask you to be my savior and my Lord. I commit my life to you. Amen."

The decision you have made to commit your life to Christ is an important one. You now need to tell others about it. Please contact us so that we might assist you in further understanding this commitment and your relationship to Jesus Christ.
