Whitesburg Baptist Church has an active women's ministry which includes Bible Study classes, outreach opportunities, exercise and fitness classes, and special events. Childcare is available and classes are offered at various times in the mornings and evenings to fit in with busy schedules.

Friends Out to Lunch & Dinner

Ladies, do you need a place of refuge during a busy day? Come join us for an exciting new opportunity to meet and network with other women. Friends Out to Lunch & Dinner (FOLD) is a wonderful way to connect with women who have the same needs and daily demands. We meet once a month for either lunch or dinner to just take a "breather" and to get our battery recharged. We would love for you to show up for this hour-long, casual meal and devotional! No reservation is required, and your only cost is the price of your meal. Make plans to attend and bring a friend into the FOLD!

2 Different Times

Thursday Nights
Living Beyond Yourself, by Beth Moore, is a 10-week concentrated study on Galatians 5:22-23. Experience the Holy Spirit in a special way as He develops the fruit given to all of us when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Spend a couple weeks learning about the Holy Spirit and His role in the Trinity and the rest of the time will be devoted to a weekly study of each fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. If you are looking for an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God, then this study is a must! This class begins 6:30PM Thursday evening, May 29, in Room 315 at the South Campus and goes through August 14.

Tuesday Mornings
Stepping Up, the new Beth Moore study, is a 6-week Bible study on the Psalms of Ascent. This fascinating study will allow you to journey with the Israelites on their way to Jerusalem for the pilgrimage of the Three Feasts. You will walk up the steps of the Temple and learn to express your own joy and concerns to our Creator. Come and be a part of this amazing study on personal praise and worship. It begins 9:00AM Tuesday morning, June 17, in Room 114 at the North Campus and goes through July 29. Free childcare is available for this class by calling the childcare hotline 704-5678 Ext 252.

The annual Women’s Ministry LIFT Dinner will be Friday, August 15, 2008. LIFT is the kick-off for all the events in Women’s Ministry for the next church year. The theme is “Life’s Treasures” with speaker, publisher and Host of TV’s “Martha’s Sewing Room” Martha Pullen.
Tickets can be purchased starting in June either online or on Sunday mornings in the North Lobby. Ladies, we encourage you to sign up to host and decorate a table according to the theme. Just think of all the great decorating ideas for “Life’s Treasures”! Details will be coming soon on being a table hostess and signing up as a LIFE group or as an individual.
