Fishing Rod Building Class
In this class you will build your own custom fishing rod that
meets your own unique specifications. Whether you are a beginner
interested in just building a “starter” rod, or an experienced
tournament bass fisherman looking for that ultimate flipping
stick, spinner bait rod, shakey worm rod, crank bait rod, etc.
this class is for you. Jerry Guinn, a member of TVFF and the
Custom Rod Builders Guild, teaches this class every January. For

Fly Tying Class
The course covers topics such as fly tying tools, materials and fly
tying basics. The class introduction will be followed by a series of
hands-on-workshops where the student will tie some of the more
popular trout, pan fish and bass flies under the direction of
instructor, Reid Benton, with the Tennessee Valley Fly Fishers. This
class meets in the summer months.
Fly Casting Clinic
Learn specific techniques on how to cast your fly rod with Reid
Benton of the Tennessee Valley Fly Fishers. This clinic meets in the
spring.
