Some people
think they have to be perfect before God will accept them or
before they can go to church. That's not true of God. It isn't
true of Whitesburg Baptist Church. God meets people where they
are. So do we. All together or falling apart. Strong or weak. On
top of the world or in the pits. Whitesburg is a come-as-you-are
church. You'll find people totally committed to helping you
build a life that is all you want it to be. Meaningful.
Exciting. Rewarding. Joyful. Triumphant. And more. To build
lives like that means meeting people right where they are. No
matter where that is.

Dr. Greg Corbin has served the Lord faithfully since becoming a
born again Christian at the age of eight. Raised in Ider,
Alabama, Greg began preaching at the age of seventeen. Greg has
served for the past thirteen years as the senior pastor of three
churches in the state of Alabama. All three churches
experienced both spiritual and numerical growth under his
leadership. In addition to his years as pastor, Greg has served
as a church staff member and interim pastor. He has been
involved in Sunday school training and leadership from the early
days of his ministry.
A graduate of Jacksonville State University with a B.S. degree
in education, Greg taught both English and math at Fort Payne
High School before being called to full-time Christian ministry.
While serving as full-time pastor, Greg earned his Master of
Divinity in Pastoral Ministry from the New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Evangelism and
Church Growth from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Greg feels that his most important ministry is his family. Greg
and his wife, Becky, were married in December 1993. The Lord
has blessed them with two wonderful sons, David (8) and Daniel
(4).
