What To Expect At
Whitesburg
Thank you for your interest in visiting The Caring Place.
Please take a few minutes to read the paragraphs below – they will
explain how to get here and what to expect on your first visit.
We hope you feel welcome and experience a great time of worship with
our church family.
Where To Go
Our Whitesburg Campus is located at 6806 Whitesburg Drive, and
our Pulaski Pike Campus is located at 3911 Pulaski Pike. †Both
campuses offer Sunday morning Bible Study and Worship times.
When We Meet
Our Whitesburg Campus holds two Sunday worship services, at 9:30
am and at 11:00 am. We also offer a variety of Bible study
classes (LIFE Groups) for all ages at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and
11:00 am.
Our Pulaski Pike Campus holds Sunday worship services at 11:00
am, with Bible study classes (LIFE Groups) at 9:30 am.
What To Wear
Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We have the entire
range each Sunday, from jeans with a t-shirt, to suits.
Generally, the people who attend the 9:30 am service will dress
up, while those attending the 11:00 am service wear casual
clothes.
What To Expect
When you drive into our property, signs will guide you to our
guest parking lot. †A greeter will give you a parking pass that
will allow you to park in our guest lot for 7 weeks. †Then they
will direct you to the closest entrance to the building.
Just inside the doors you will find a Welcome Station. †There,
the staff will register your attendance, answer your questions,
and help you find the best Bible Study classes for your family
members. They will supply you with a map and other information,
and one of the hall guides will walk you and your family members
to either the Worship Center or your LIFE Group classroom.
The choir and orchestra perform a “call to worship” to announce
the beginning of the service and allow people time to find their
seats. The worship leader will then begin the service by
inviting everyone to join in a time of praise through singing.
The words to each song are projected onto two large screens on
either side of the stage area. After the time of praise, any
scheduled baptisms will take place, followed by the welcome and
announcement time. During the welcome, visitors will be asked to
remain seated for a few minutes when everyone else stands, so
our members will have a chance to meet and greet them. After a
few more songs, a prayer is given, and the offering is taken
(visitors are not expected to give) during a special song by the
choir and orchestra. Our pastor of over 25 years then delivers
his sermon, in easy-to-understand, everyday language. The sermon
is closed with a prayer and a time of response. Any people who
have been baptized earlier in the service are invited to come
forward and be presented to the church, and the service closes
with a parting song.
